Jack Morris personifies the clean, positive, all American image that his classes and students represent. He is also one of the few high ranking hands-on instructors in the country who teaches most of the classes in his karate studio. He has over 35 years of martial arts training and is a former teammate of the legendary eight-time world heavyweight karate champion - Joe Lewis. Mr. Morris has been teaching American Kenpo Karate in Tallahassee since 1983. He has instructed the U.S. Army Military, Police Officers, the Central Florida SWAT Team, and was Co-Instructor/Advisor to the FBI Defense Tactics Course. He was a member of the first Olympic Karate Team and three time Grand National Karate Champion. Mr. Morris was inducted into the Karate Hall of Fame in 1999. Mr. Morris' lineage goes back to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he trained under 8th Degree Black Belt Dennis Nackord, who is known as the "Father of Kenpo of Philadelphia". Jack Morris teaches the Ed Parker American Kenpo Karate system at the American Karate Studios located in the Shannon Lakes Shopping Center in Killearn. (850-893-5425)
